Why use a Global Account?
Managing multiple payment accounts and dashboards for different business entities across various countries can lead to complex onboarding, separate agreements, and a fragmented financial overview.
The Xendit global account provides a single unified account, dashboard, and API key. This means less administrative overhead, a streamlined onboarding process, and a clear, consolidated view of all your payments, payouts, and balances across all supported currencies and markets.

Currencies
You may manage multiple currencies with your Xendit account. Your country of incorporation determines the operational capabilities of your currency balances.
The table below sets out the default permissions per currency. Select the tab that represents your country of incorporation to see what actions you’re able to perform with the currency balance. For example:
If you are incorporated in Indonesia, select the “Indonesia” tab.
If you do not see your country of incorporation in any of the tabs, select the “Other” tab.
Several actions are not enabled by default because they require additional documentation or approvals. If a particular action you’d like to perform with your currency balance is not enabled by default, contact help@xendit.co for assistance.

API Key
Xendit offers different API key functionalities depending on your account type, catering to both local market operations and broader global reach. Understanding these differences is crucial for seamless integration and managing your transactions.
For Local Accounts:
If you operate a local Xendit account (e.g., exclusively for Indonesia, Philippines, etc.), your API keys are scoped to your specific market. This means:
Market-Specific Usage: An API key generated for your Indonesian account can only be used for transactions within Indonesia (IDR currency, local payment methods, etc.). Similarly, an API key for a Philippine account is restricted to the Philippine market.
Segregated Data: All payments, payouts, and other transactions processed using a local API key will be reflected only within the dashboard interface for that specific local market. This provides a clear, focused view of your operations in that region.
For Global Accounts (multi-currency support):
Xendit's Global Account is designed for businesses that operate across multiple countries and currencies, providing a unified experience. With a Global Account:
Single API key for multiple markets: You will have one API key that can be used across all the various markets and currencies supported by your Global Account. This significantly simplifies your integration and management, as you don't need to manage separate keys for each country.
Centralized interface: All your payments, acceptances, and payouts, regardless of the currency or market they originate from, will be consolidated and visible on a single Xendit dashboard interface. This provides a holistic view of your entire global financial operations, making reconciliation and reporting much more efficient.
Multi-currency transactions: The single API key allows you to seamlessly add, accept, and send payments in multiple currencies supported by Xendit's Global Account, streamlining your cross-border transactions.
Important Note for Payment API Users:
It's important to be aware of this distinction from the outset. If you have a Global Account and use your single API key for transactions in different markets, all these transactions (both acceptances and payouts) will appear on one consolidated interface. This is a key benefit of the Global Account, designed to provide a unified overview of your multi-market operations. If you are accustomed to market-specific views, you will find all your data integrated into a single, comprehensive dashboard for your Global Account.
