# Send notifications to customer

Payment Links can automatically send notifications to your customers and your business email to help track payment confirmations.

## Notification channels and events

We provide notifications via email and WhatsApp, ensuring everyone stays up-to-date on crucial payment events.

#### **For your customers**

Xendit will automatically send notifications to your customers for the following events if you enable this feature:

- **Payment Link created**

Your customer will receive a notification informing them that a payment link has been sent to them for completing the payment.
- **Payment reminders**

Your customer will receive a notification if they haven’t completed the payment within the specified time frame. You can also configure when you want the reminders to be sent.
- **Successful payment**

Your customer will receive a confirmation notification for a successful payment.

#### **For you**

Xendit will notify you for the following events. You also can setup the email address that you want the notification to be sent to:

- **Successful Payment**

You will be notified when a payment has been successfully completed by the customer.
- **Payment Link Expired**

You will be notified if a payment link has expired without being completed.

## How to set up notifications

You can configure notification preferences in the **Xendit Dashboard > Settings > Checkout > Notifications**.

We also provide pre-designed **notification templates** that you can select and customize based on your business needs.

Once set, these preferences will apply to all Payment Links *unless specific settings are defined during their creation.*
