**Xendit Bill Payments** enables merchants to facilitate various bill payment services through a single API integration. This service allows your end users to pay utility bills, purchase prepaid services, and make regular payments all within your application or platform.

### What are Bill Payments?

Bill Payments is a digital service that lets people pay their bills and make purchases electronically. Think of it as a digital payment counter where your users can handle multiple types of payments in one place. In Indonesia, this service is commonly known as PPOB (Payment Point Online Banks).

**Common Features**

- **Pay Utility Bills**: Electricity, water, and other utility services
- **Buy Prepaid Services**: Phone credit top-ups, electricity tokens, internet data packages
- **Make Regular Payments**: Government taxes, insurance premiums, school fees

1. **Customer provides account information** - The user enters their account number (like electricity customer ID)
2. **System checks bill details** - Xendit verifies the account and retrieves bill information
3. **Customer confirms and pays** - User reviews bill details and completes payment
4. **Payment is processed** - Transaction is executed immediately
5. **Customer receives notification** - Confirmation of successful payment is sent
