As of early February 2021, Xendit has released a new eWallets endpoint “https://api.xendit.co/ewallets/charges” for our customers to get access to eWallets regionally (ID + PH) via one single endpoint, to enable newer features like void/refund, tokenization, auth/capture flow in the future, and have the endpoint serve requests with consistent data schema across each eWallet. In lieu of this new endpoint, Xendit will be calling for a deprecation on the old eWallets endpoint “https://api.xendit.co/ewallets”.
What does this mean?
In accordance with Xendit’s API deprecation policies, Xendit will continue to maintain the old eWallets endpoint "https://api.xendit.co/ewallets" for a period of one year starting 1st April 2021 and to end maintenance and service of the old eWallets endpoint on 31st March 2022. Customers who are using direct API integrations are encouraged to migrate to the new endpoint as soon as possible to prevent any disruptions closer to the old endpoint’s end of service date.
Will my existing service be disrupted?
Existing services will not be disrupted as Xendit will continue to maintain and support the old endpoint up until 31st March 2022. However, we recommend moving to the new eWallets endpoint as it covers the existing eWallet channels and also the newer eWallet channels like Shopeepay in ID, Paymaya & Gcash & Grabpay in PH. Furthermore, newer features will only be available on the new eWallets endpoint going forward.
If you are using xenInvoice or third party platforms like Shopify and Woocommerce, Xendit will handle the migration for you. No further actions will be required.
What do I need to do?
Before the end of service date on 31st March 2022, integrate to our new eWallets endpoint by following these steps:
- Refer to eWallet Docs and New eWallet API Reference to start your integration
- Set your ewallets Webhook url called
eWallet Payment Statusto receive payment notifications
